A love of moving images, electronic music and utilising technology are some of the main reasons that have driven and still drive Retina Glitch aka Adam D Finlay and Hally to create and perform visuals.

Starting out by putting together video mixes/loops for luminaries such as Traveller, Freaky Dancing, Propagator, Stuff records and his own Wicked City inevitably led to live VJ performance. This came to fruition in June of this year with a debut live VJ/AV performance with some time collaborator Layenda aka Sharad at the Tyneside cinema as part of the Refrigerator event.

Since then they have established themselves as a VJ talent at various events including Traveller, Freaky Dancing, the Distraction Records weekender, Numbers (Monthly residency in Glasgow), and twice at Newcastle's 11th Century Castle Keep.

Adam has also been involved in other video-based projects ranging from the production of a more traditional style film with local school children and video segments for theatre performance. He has also produced films for art based events the most high profile being the groundbreaking 'Sound Gallery' events in Newcastle, Sunderland and BALTIC.

Always striving to bring a diverse feel to his work, not wishing to restrict to one style or one medium but, trying to incorporate them all into a blend of aesthetically pleasing, challenging and exciting imagery.
