Sharad | Leyanda

Sharad has been interested in music since a young age and started making his own by playing guitar in his teens...Soon he started writing Speed Metal and playing in a 2 piece band...

Growing up he grew more interested in new sounds...electronics...and stuff that could be softly spoken, as well as pure extremity! He began producing his own stuff and dj'ing... Dj'ing brought many new influences, including New York Techno Such as Beltram, and Drum 'n Bass like Matrix etc...doing many gigs - nationally and in Holland...

Sharad has also established his own event Wicked City' at World Head-quarters between 2000-02, alongside visual artist 'Retina Glitch'. The parties represented his musical philosophy, as he was the main contributing artist, along with Salad Butty/Astro 'n Prism.

Briefly in his own words…

“Since Wicked City I have become more and more into Folk, Classical, Baroque and Indian music. I love music that is pure, from the heart and soul - not made for commercial reasons. Alot of this music has deep, dark emotions...because life is not always happy, we all have fears that we must express. The Flamenco Guitars of Spain, the Baroque Lutes of Germany, and the Classical Sitars of India burn in my mind and my soul everyday!

For Lumen, I will play 100% my own material, with the music customised to suit the event. With no specific plan it is likely to be more thoughtful, less aggressive side of my music...

Sharad, your music lives on.
