Tears of Abraham

If John Carpenter was to remake The Thing on a shoestring budget, there would only be one choice to score the suitably spooked soundtrack. Motivated by the desire to create music that is both disturbing and exhilarating, Tears of
Abraham are a freewheeling juggernaut of snaking synth lines, widescreen
atmospherics, stolen samples from a cornucopia of obscure sources, pulsating beats and crazed turntablist mayhem.

Their music is at once adventurous, playful and original, a welcome return to the days when electronic music was unafraid to experiment, and far removed from the overly stylised ramblings of most modern outfits, but with a melodic nous and songwriting savvy that keeps everything grounded.

They have an impending 7" release out soon along with a LP by the end of the
year on Distraction Records.
